A Bit About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping adults navigate the complexities of their past and present. My journey to becoming a therapist is deeply personal. As a trauma survivor, I understand the profound impact that difficult childhood experiences can have on one's life. My own struggles and the transformative power of therapy inspired me to support others in their healing journeys.
My Approach to Therapy
I specialize in trauma-focused therapy, helping individuals explore and heal from past experiences. I believe mental health and relationships are deeply connected. Through a collaborative process, we'll examine your life experiences to identify areas for growth and healing.
Therapeutic Techniques
In my practice, I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches, including:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A technique that helps clients process and heal from traumatic memories.
- CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): A method that addresses negative thought patterns and behaviors.
- IFS (Internal Family Systems): A framework for understanding and harmonizing the different parts of oneself.
- Mindfulness Practices: Techniques to help clients stay present and manage their emotions.
- Safe and Sound Protocol: A treatment modality designed to regulate the nervous system.
- Rest and Restore Protocol: A listening-based intervention that supports deeper nervous system regulation and recovery.
Creating a Safe and Supportive Environment
I strive to offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. Together, we'll work to uncover the roots of distress and foster meaningful, lasting change through a personalized therapeutic approach.
