Live Your Life Counseling

Why We Exist

Our Mission

Counseling built to last, for you, for our clinicians, and for a world that needs more of it.

Mental health care in America is in crisis. Demand for therapy has never been higher, yet clinician burnout is pushing good providers out of the field at alarming rates. At Live Your Life Counseling, we think that crisis points to something important, and our response to it grows directly out of what we believe about healing.

Here's what we believe:

Healing isn't about forcing yourself to move on, fixing what's "broken," or becoming someone new. It's about freeing yourself from the ways past experiences may still be limiting how you live in the present. Trauma can quietly shape beliefs, fears, and patterns that keep life feeling narrow or constrained. Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, our work focuses on helping clients feel safer, more grounded, and less driven by survival responses, so they can live their lives with greater freedom, choice, and authenticity.

That belief doesn't stop at the therapy room door. It shapes how we try to run our practice.

A burned out, overworked clinician is a clinician in survival mode. And you can't help someone feel safe and present when you're not able to feel that way yourself. If those conditions are what people need to heal, we have to work to create them for our clinicians too.

That's why we try to do things a little differently. We aim to keep caseloads manageable and compensate our clinicians fairly. We push back against the hustle culture that burns people out and calls it dedication. We reject non-compete agreements, because clinicians who feel supported, not trapped, do better work. And when they're ready to bring more care to their own communities, we consider that a win.

We're also committed to accepting insurance, because healing shouldn't depend on what you can afford.

It would be easier and more profitable to only see private-pay clients. But that would mean turning away people who deserve support just as much as anyone else, and that's not something we're willing to do. Holding that commitment alongside our belief in caring well for our clinicians isn't always easy, but it's a tension we navigate with intention and pride.

Every client we serve and every clinician we support is a step toward showing what mental health care can look like when it's built on the same values it tries to offer.

This is counseling built to last. For you, for our clinicians, and for a world that needs more of it.
